Alpine Rivers® Multi-Color RFID Blocking Sleeves – Top-Load
Verified 13.56 MHz shielding while the card is inside. Slide it out and it taps to pay as normal.
Alpine Rivers® Multi-Color RFID Blocking Sleeves, Original pack (all top-load). An 18-piece set of RFID blocking sleeves for credit cards, debit cards, ID cards and passports, in red, black and brown: 14 card sleeves and 4 passport sleeves.
All 14 card sleeves open at the short edge (top-load), so the card slides in vertically. Three colors let you group cards by type at a glance: one color for bank cards, another for travel or ID cards.
- What you get: 14 card sleeves (6 black, 4 red, 4 brown) and 4 passport sleeves (2 black, 1 red, 1 brown), 18 pieces in total.
- Loading: all 14 card sleeves are top-load, and the 4 passport sleeves are top-load too.
- Colors: three solid colors, not numbered.
- Fits: credit and debit cards, ID cards, driver's licenses and PIV or CAC cards (standard card size). The passport sleeves fit passport booklets, including 52-page versions.
- Protection: verified 13.56 MHz shielding, the frequency used by tap-to-pay cards, e-passports, most transit cards and many hotel keys. Slide the card out to tap or pay.
- Material: PolyShield™, our four-layer printed laminate with a built-in RFID shielding layer.
- In 2016, our sleeves achieved FIPS 201 US government approval (GSA APL 1424).

Questions shoppers ask
What is the difference between top-load and side-load sleeves?
Top-load sleeves open on the short edge, so the card slides in upright. Side-load sleeves open on the long edge, so the card slides in sideways, which suits wallets with sideways card slots. Top-Load sets hold 14 top-load card sleeves. Top and Side-Load sets have 7 of each. Every set adds 4 passport sleeves.
Will my cards still work after being stored inside?
Yes. The shielding is passive. It only blocks signals while the card is inside. Take the card out and it works exactly as it did before.
Do RFID sleeves block contactless payments?
Yes, while the card is inside. Tap-to-pay cards use 13.56 MHz, and a sleeve with verified 13.56 MHz shielding keeps the terminal from reading the card. Slide it out to pay; phone and watch wallets are not affected.
Do I need a separate sleeve for my passport?
Yes, and every set includes 4. Card sleeves fit credit-card-size cards, while passport sleeves are cut for passport booklets, including 52-page versions. Current US passports carry a contactless chip, so a passport sleeve keeps it shielded.
Do the sleeves block all frequencies?
No. Our shielding is made for 13.56 MHz, the frequency used by tap-to-pay cards, e-passports, most transit cards and many hotel keys.
