What this means
California Proposition 65 (the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) requires businesses selling products to California residents to provide a clear and reasonable warning before exposing those residents to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.
The warnings above identify specific chemicals present in our products at levels requiring disclosure under California's Safe Harbor exposure thresholds. The warnings do not mean our products are unsafe for use as intended. California sets conservative exposure thresholds that often differ from federal standards.
About the chemicals
Diisononyl phthalate (DINP) is a plasticizer used in soft polymers and coatings, present in trace amounts in some flexible material components of our products.
Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) is a plasticizer used in flexible polymer coatings, present in trace amounts in some flexible material components.
Lead and lead compounds (Money Belt and Neck Wallet only) may be present in trace amounts in zipper hardware, metallic-coated conductive fabric components, or pigment residues. They are not present in the RFID blocking sleeves, which use a different material construction.
The different warnings between the sleeves and the belt and wallet reflect different material construction. The sleeves use a paper-substrate laminate without metal hardware. The belt and wallet use textile shells with metal zipper components and conductive cloth.
Customers outside California
Proposition 65 is a California state law. Customers shipping to addresses outside California do not need to take any action based on this disclosure. The warning is provided for transparency.
