Why we wrote it
Most travel-security advice is either frightening or useless. It tells you the world is dangerous without telling you which street corner to pay attention to, or it repeats the same four tips whatever country you are in.
This is the opposite. It is specific, it is city by city, and where we could not verify something we left it out rather than padding the page.
